How to play

From a copy of DayZ to your first raid: the launcher, the server, the mods and the Discord.

Escape From DayZ is free to play. The only thing you buy is DayZ.

What you need#

  • DayZ on Steam, on PC.
  • The DZSA Launcher, free from dayzsalauncher.com. It finds the server, installs every mod the server runs, and keeps them up to date.

Join#

  1. Open the DZSA Launcher and go to the community server list.
  2. Search for Escape From DayZ. It is listed as Escape From DayZ Solo/Duo/Trio, on Chernarus.
  3. Press Join. The first time, the launcher downloads the whole mod collection. It is large, so give it time; after that it only fetches updates.

Before your first raid#

  • Join the Discord. Rules, the changelog, tickets, and people to raid with.
  • Read the rules. They are short.
  • Then read Start Here, your first hour on the server.
